In 2022, an ecological trail was created on the territory of the Mudyug State Natural Landscape Reserve of regional significance, which runs along the coast of the White Sea.
This protected area was formed in 1996, but its history has deeper roots and goes back to the Bronze Age.
The reserve itself has a complex relief – it is a comb structure of landscapes, which is associated with the geological history of the island's formation, with a pronounced alternation of depressions and elevations, as well as a special type of forest vegetation - dune pine forests.
The vibrant history and nature of the protected area will become a place of attraction for tourists and travelers with diverse interests.
The circular route of the trail is prepared exclusively for walking and has a length of about 5 km.
The trail starts from the southern border of the reserve, then goes along the shore of the White Sea, passes through the gate sign Black Tower. The route passes through historical sites: a complex of monuments from the Civil War and the intervention of 1918 - 1919, a monument to the "Victims of the intervention", an artillery piece from the First World War. There are 5 information signs, 5 benches, 15 direction signs, 1 resting place installed throughout the route.
The trail is recommended to visit during the snowless period.
Remember that when visiting a specially protected natural area, it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the regime of its protection.
